Lappeenranta University of Technology
The Lappeenranta University of Technology building dating from the 1970s was renovated. Parts of the building were demolished, with a new frame built. A spectacular glass cube was constructed in the middle of the old building. The design work was performed via data modelling. Particular attention was paid to stability analyses related to the extensive demolition work.
