Valmet Technologies Oy and Lahti Energia Oy, Kymijärvi power plant, Lahti
The Kymijärvi power plant is a modern gasification power plant that uses recycled fuel. The plant runs mainly on recycled fuel and wood. Our assignment included the design of steel structures for Valmet and other structural engineering work for Lahti Energia. The energy generated by the plant is used for district heat and electricity.
