AINS Group the most attractive employer in construction and design by engineering students
Engineering students have ranked AINS Group as the most attractive employer in Finland’s construction and design sector, according to the 2025 Universum student survey. Among all engineering employers in Finland, AINS Group placed fifth overall.
AINS Group, a design and consulting company for the built environment, continues to be recognized as one of the most appealing employers among engineering students in Finland. In the Universum survey, the company was ranked the top employer in the construction and design industry and fifth among all engineering employers in Finland.
This year, the annual Universum student survey gathered responses from over 11,000 students across Finland, including nearly 3,000 engineering students.
“We are truly honoured and delighted by this recognition. We believe it’s essential that talented young professionals are given the opportunity to take part in demanding projects from the very beginning and actively contribute to the development of our services and technologies. This creates space for individual advancement and sharing of expertise. We, the more experienced professionals, also benefit from their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm”, says Kari Kauniskangas, CEO of AINS Group.
At AINS Group, young professionals are also participating in executive-level decision-making. The company’s “Future Leaders” group brings together young experts from various disciplines to provide insights and ideas to the Group executive team on development themes and strategic decisions.
Career paths start with internships
This year, AINS Group will offer nearly 50 summer job and internship positions for young professionals in structural engineering, construction economics, infrastructure and environmental planning, building services and industrial engineering. Typically, around 90% of summer employees continue working part-time alongside their studies.
– We have a strong team spirit and a people-centered culture in our units. We’ve worked consistently to build a workplace that attracts and retains talent. Even in this somewhat uncertain construction market, we’ve found niches where we can succeed and offer young professionals attractive growth opportunities, Kauniskangas adds.
AINS Group was now ranked the most attractive employer in the design and consulting sector in Finland for the fourth year in a row in the Universum Student Survey. The company has also consistently ranked among the top employers in surveys targeting engineering professionals in Finland.
Founded in 1959, AINS Group has grown from a local engineering office in Tampere into a multidisciplinary and award-winning consultancy. Its technological expertise represents the forefront of the industry both in Finland and internationally. The company employs 1,300 designers and project professionals across Finland.
