The task involved the preparation of a coastal master plan from the proposal stage onwards.
The planning area has regionally significant natural and tourist values as well as valuable landscape areas and cultural environments. Baseline surveys were carried out for the coastal area and zone (82 km of coastline) and, based on field visits, unsuitable construction sites and vacant shores were mapped and new construction sites were compared to them. 100 new construction sites were allocated. The planning area covers the shore areas of the Jämijärvi watershed and significant view areas surrounding the shores. Nature surveys and a landscape survey had been prepared for the plan.
