Noise abatement in residential buildings
Our experts have extensive knowledge of the techniques used to combat and attenuate noise. By taking noise abatement into account at the permitting stage, you can streamline your project in a cost-effective way. We use noise modelling to design effective noise abatement for your site. If necessary, noise dispersion modelling can be repeated once noise abatement measures have been implemented.
In addition to the placement of building masses, sound insulation of the building envelope, noise barriers and baffles, and balcony glazing will reduce noise. From a land-use planning perspective, building mass is the primary means of noise abatement. Other means, such as noise barriers or noise walls, should only be used if noise abatement by building masses is not successful.

Traffic noise studies in accordance with the plan regulations
Traffic noise from roads, streets and railways can cause amenity problems and, in the long term, health problems. Noise abatement regulations are always issued by the authorities on a site-by-site basis. These regulations take into account both the current and future noise situation on the site.
In our noise study, we investigate traffic noise at construction sites and model noise propagation using a 3D terrain model. By involving our noise study experts in the project from the outset, we provide information on the noise situation and noise management measures to planners in different sectors in a flexible way.
Industrial noise abatement to prevent environmental noise
Through noise surveys and noise measurements, we help to prevent, reduce and control industrial environmental noise. Information on environmental noise is needed at various stages of a construction project, from the planning and building permit stage to the commissioning of the plant.
Limit values for industrial environmental noise are set in the environmental permits for installations. Our experts will carry out environmental noise measurements for your project, subject to environmental permits. Environmental permits often also require periodic environmental noise measurements.
We also carry out the required environmental noise measurements and noise model updates in situations where activities expand or noise conditions change.

The noise assessment also requires a review of the noise emitted from inside the industrial building under construction. In order for the noise to behave as assumed in the study, the outer shell of the building must be tight.
