Vuoltsu, Tampere
The Vuoltsu complex, in the centre of Tampere, is composed of four parts, all built in the 1930s.
The building’s façade is under heritage protection. Among other accomplishments, the project involved the complex’s integration into the new Ratina shopping centre. One of the main challenges was presented by the old floors, which were built on several levels. These differences in height were reduced by several means, including lowering of the foundation.
