The change in the local detailed plan and regional development applies to the Särkänniemi area in Tampere, which is home to the Särkänniemi amusement park, the Sara Hilden Art Museum and the Mustalahti harbour.
The aim of the change in the local detailed plan is to enable the development of the Särkänniemi, Onkiniemi, Mustalahti and Kortelahti areas as a mixed area of recreation, tourism, services and housing that is better connected to the centre of Tampere and accessible on foot and by bike.
