Pyynikintori city plan, Tampere
The city plan was altered to accommodate the extension of Tampere Art Museum and enable the development of its operations.

At the same time, the surroundings of the art museum and Pyynikintori square were developed as an urban public space in a way that respected the area’s historical value. Parking will be arranged in a parking facility beneath the square. A recreational route will be planned through the area, connecting Särkänniemi with Pyynikinharju. The planning area covers the areas of Pyynikintori, Heinätori, Heinäpuisto, Tampere Art Museum, the Art Museum’s park and Amuri Museum of Workers’ Housing.
