Energy tunnels, Helsinki
Helsinki’s energy tunnels form an extensive tunnel network under the city, safeguarding local residents’ heating, cooling, water and electricity supply all year around.
AINS Group was contracted to conduct a condition survey of the support structures of the tunnels and other underground spaces, including the review of rock surfaces and support structures. In the future, the survey will enable carefully planned and correctly targeted maintenance of the underground premises.
