Apetit, renewable energy production and waste heat recovery, Säkylä
Apetit Säkylä plant uses biogas and waste heat from food production, which reduces the carbon footprint of the plant's energy procurement by 80%, more than 4,000 tonnes per year.
Apetit purchases energy for the plant's needs as a service from Adven, which was responsible for the design and implementation of the energy service. A combination of heat pumps, steam boilers and a heat accumulator provided a flexible solution for the needs of Apetit.
