Valteri school Mäntykangas, Kuopio
Valteri School Mäntykangas is a national learning and guidance center that supports the principle of neighborhood schools by offering a wide range of services for various support needs.
The new two-story building with a concrete frame and wooden facade includes classrooms, a production kitchen, student dormitories, and a therapy pool. The new school was built on the same site as the old one. In addition to accessibility, the design and construction of the new school emphasized solutions that promote circular economy and high-quality indoor conditions. Healthy and safe conditions were ensured by adhering to the criteria of the TerveTalo concept.
