The new school building in Punkalaidun was completed in 2019 and is constructed from non-settling solid log timber.

Unified school an high school of Punkalaidun

It houses grades 7–9 and the upper secondary school, and has been designed as an accessible and healthy learning environment. The facilities are used by approximately 180 students and 35 members of staff. The school premises are designed as shoe-free environment, with particular attention also paid to indoor air quality and the low-emission properties of materials. The building was implemented as a KVR project. The building makes use of modern technology and open learning environments that promote interaction and a sense of community.
