A new 16-storey tower block is going up in Oulu's Välkkylä, which will have approx.
170 student apartments. The building is designed to support an active lifestyle: there are large storage spaces for bicycles and students can use the gym on the top floor of the tower. The top floor will also have a sauna section, meeting rooms and a roof terrace for shared use. The residents' study and lounge areas and the house laundry are located on the first floor.
