Children’s hospital extension, Helsinki
Extension and renovation of the Children’s Hospital in Helsinki, Finland. The 7500 sqm extension includes a new intensive care unit, a 6-theatre operating block and a magnetic resonance imaging department. The existing building is under historical protection and therefore the extensions are intentionally contrasting with the 30’s architecture.
