Lappeenranta University of Technology
The university building of Lappeenranta University of Technology, originally constructed in the 1970s, underwent a comprehensive renovation, with the design process utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Special attention was given to the stability assessments of the entire structure during the extensive demolition work. A significant portion of the building was completely demolished and replaced with a new structural framework. An architecturally striking tall glass cube was erected at the center of the old building.
