Kera Area, Espoo

The design of the Kera area is based on a central park connecting green spaces, surrounding blocks and a circular street network.

Kera Area, Espoo

The area is designed as a walkable urban complex, whose development is guided by sustainable development. The core area of Kera is located at a transport hub, including rail, tram, street and cycle networks. As logistics activities move out of the area, the remaining large halls will be filled with a variety of temporary services. The logistics warehouses are planned to be replaced by new urban functions in a phased approach. The project won the Nordic Challenge, 1st prize in 2016. ONE Architects (part of the AINS Group) was responsible for the development plan for the area https://www.onearchitects.fi/
