Karjalantalo, Joensuu
Located in a prime spot on Joensuu’s Ilosaari, Karjalantalo has served the local community since 1954.

In 2025, the building underwent a major interior renovation that significantly enhanced the customer experience at Restaurant Kerubi. The upgrades brought improved accessibility, better acoustics for concerts, and more efficient kitchen operations. Although the building’s façade is protected due to its historical value, several important improvements were made inside: a new elevator was installed, the ventilation machine room was expanded, a new basement entrance was built, and the kitchen facilities were modernized with new cold storage units and reinforced flooring structures.
