Savilahti Sports and Events Center Luola, Kuopio
The cave in Kuopio Savilahti, formerly occupied by the Finnish Defence Forces, was transformed into a sports and event center Luola.

Data and 3D modeling were utilized in the design of the 50 meter wide rock hall. The cooperative target price contract (TARU) was innovated as a form of implementation. In addition to daily recreational use, Luola is suitable as a venue for sporting events, concerts and trade fairs. The cave also serves as a civilian shelter for thousands of residents and workers in the surrounding area.
