Savilahti Sports and Events Centre
The Neulamäki cave in Kuopio Savilahti, formerly occupied by the Finnish Defence Forces, will be implemented as an event arena for 2,500 spectators, group sports facilities and a gymnasium for the use of the city and educational institutions. The centre will also serve as a common rock shelter for the Savilahti region.
The excavation phase will be completed by early 2023, as planned, when construction work on the second phase will begin. The Sports and Events Centre is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
