AINS Group’s structural engineer Anastasiia Evstratova has been selected as one of the Finland’s representative in the EFCA Future Leaders competition. The European consulting industry competition recognises talented young professionals shaping the future of engineering consultancy.
Structural engineer Anastasiia Evstratova, who has worked as part of the design team for the Turku Music Hall Fuuga, is one of four Finnish candidates selected by SKOL for the Future Leaders competition. The winners of the competition, organised by The European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations EFCA, will be awarded in Istanbul on 5 June 2026.
Specialising in concrete structures and demanding industrial and public projects, Evstratova has been responsible for BIM coordination as well as mentoring junior designers of the Fuuga structural design team. The architecturally distinctive Music Hall Fuuga, with its high acoustic requirements, will be completed on the banks of the River Aura next autumn in Turku.
“Fuuga is a great example of how engineering expertise is not created solely through calculations and details, but is built on vision, coordination, responsibility and strong team collaboration around a shared goal,” Evstratova says.
“The organic architectural language of the music hall, its curved walls, zigzag façades and multiple materials – concrete, steel and timber structures – combined with demanding acoustic requirements, make the building a true showcase of construction engineering. Many of the solutions were designed specifically for Fuuga,” continues Evstratova, who is also an active music enthusiast.
A total of 20 structural engineers from AINS Group have been involved in developing the structural solutions for Fuuga, alongside experts in fire safety, moisture control and site safety. Having studied in St Petersburg and worked at AINS Group since 2022, Evstratova is accustomed to working in multicultural teams.
“I believe that diversity among people and cultures has strengthened my ability to coordinate demanding and complex projects,” Evstratova notes.
The Finnish candidates for the EFCA Future Leaders competition were selected by SKOL, the Finnish Association of Consulting Firms in Engineering and Architecture.
The Turku Music Hall Fuuga is being carried out as alliance project by the City of Turku, Hartela, PES‑Architects and WSP Finland. AINS Group is responsible for the total structural design as a subcontractor to WSP.
