Tampere University Hospital, Clinical Nuclear Medicine and Haematology, Tampere
Tampere University Hospital’s F building, which opened in October 2020, is part of the hospital’s renovation project. The building houses the clinical nuclear medicine and haematology departments. The building’s facades, floors, walls, sound-absorbing elements, doors and windows are adorned with a hexagonal pattern. The pattern refers to science and research, the central activities carried out in the building. From the structure engineering perspective, the project involved several spaces requiring radiation protection, as well as underground tunnels to H and R buildings.
