Port of Vuosaari, Helsinki, Finland

The Port of Vuosaari is a harbour for container and trailer lorry traffic serving the entire Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The port was opened for use in November 2008. The implementation of the port and its logistics centre has been designed to adapt to the growth and development of global trade.

A-Insinöörit’s expertise has played a key role in the implementation of many important buildings for the Port of Vuosaari. These include a 70,000 m2 logistics area, the 14,500 m2 Gatehouse office building, a parking structure for 300 cars, as well as the Gate Centre entity that includes the 2,000 m2 Hansa Terminal, the 3,500 m2 Service Centre office building, as well as a 1800 m2 straddle carried and crane repair shop. Our tasks included project management, construction management and supervision.
