“Ob’edinenie projektirovchikov” SPb is the St. Petersburg region’s largest self-regulatory organisation (SRO), and its structure includes 9 different SROs. Currently the Builder SRO has approximately 1200 member companies, and Design SRO – of which A-Insinöörit is also a member – has approximately 450.

At a membership event organised by the SRO in early November, A-Insinöörit was the first member company to make its presentation, which included its objectives regarding the forging of new customer relationships, as well as the initiation of co-operation among members of the same SRO. Representing A-Insinöörit at the event were Design’s Deputy Managing Director Seppo Raiski, Export Manager Jorma Palo and Export Assistant Elena Avanesyan.

Russian companies are particularly interested in A- Insinöörit’s expertise, for example in energy efficiency, infrastructure design, and ecological projects.

Besides Jorma Palo’s presentation of A-Insinöörit, delivered in Russian, and the meetings with company representatives, A-Insinöörit also had the opportunity to discuss future possibilities with, for example, CEO Boris Ivanovich Lisich.

In early 2010, A-Insinöörit Design was approved as a member of the St. Petersburg SRO NP “OP”. The membership certificate entitles A-Insinöörit to carry out design work comprehensively throughout all of Russia, and it facilitates the design of almost everything related to construction. The list of work disciplines is one of Finland’s most comprehensive.

From the beginning of 2010, the self-regulatory organisation (SRO) system replaced the licensing system in Russia.
