A-Insinöörit strengthening its position in the construction management of infrastructure projects

A-Insinöörit Rakennuttaminen Oy and Laatukonsultit Oy have signed a preliminary agreement for the purchase of Laatukonsultit Oy, a provider of consulting services for construction management, quality management and quality inspections. Based on the preliminary agreement, the company will be transferred to A-Insinöörit’s ownership in the spring of 2011.

With the corporate acquisition, A-Insinöörit will strengthen its network of experts, particularly regarding the quality inspections and supervision of bridges and demanding special structures. “A-Insinöörit is sending a clear message regarding today’s construction culture; more attention need to be paid to quality and durability. For example, the professionalism, experience and know-how of developers and designers play key roles in the success of a building project,” A-Insinöörit’s CEO Petri Laurikka explains.

“The corporate acquisition is one of the steps we are taking to develop our service offerings and business operations. Laatukonsultit Oy’s field of activities covers all of Finland; this acquisition will support the provision of construction management services for infrastructure projects, particularly in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area,” states A-Insinöörit Rakennuttaminen Oy’s CEO Antti Varpe.

Services also continuing from Laatukonsultit
Laatukonsultit’s operations will continue normally under its own company name; at the same time its services will be joined to A-Insinöörit’s Infrastructure Construction service entity. Laatukonsultit’s current CEO Mauno Peltokorpi will continue in that capacity.

Joining A-Insinöörit will also enable both companies to provide a more comprehensive range of services for large-scale and extensive projects,” says Laatukonsultit’s CEO Mauno Peltokorpi.
The corporate acquisition is part of A-Insinöörit’s strategy and supports its policy of controlled growth. A-Insinöörit’s goal is to strengthen its market position in southern Finland, its main market area.
