A-Insinöörit acquires Pori’s leading structural engineering office

A-Insinöörit has acquired Porin Juva Oy, an engineering office specialising in structural design and construction management. The company became part of the A-Insinöörit Group with a stock transaction that took place on 28 December 2011. In its own business area, Porin Juva Oy is the leading structural engineering office in Finland’s Satakunta province. Its best-known design projects include TVO’s Olkiluoto Visitor Centre and Vaisala Oyj’s eco-efficient headquarters, completed in 2010, in Vantaa.

Porin Juva has a strong position in Satakunta in, for example, the design of commercial and office buildings, as well as expert consulting tasks for demanding industrial projects. The corporate acquisition will also enable A-Insinöörit to expand its service offerings in Satakunta.

 “The company acquisition is part of A-Insinööit’s growth strategy; we want to be close to our customers nationally,” states A-Insinöörit’s CEO Petri Laurikka.

 The acquisition clearly supports and strengthens both parties. The companies’ operational modes and values are parallel, emphasising staff professionalism and a service orientation. 

Porin Juva began its operations in 1974; its turnover is approximately EUR 800,000 and it currently employs 10 experts.

 “With the company acquisition, we can strengthen Porin Juva’s already solid expertise in areas such as information model-based design, and the adoption of Eurocodes. The deal also facilitates the development and expansion of construction management services,” says Pauli Hällfors, who will continue as Porin Juva Oy’s CEO.
