We have been working actively to develop and improve the effectiveness of teaching in the construction industry’s leading educational institutions. A-Insinöörit’s management participates in the activities of polytechnics’ and universities’ committees, while our employees also function as part-time teachers in key professional subjects.

Young employees are recruited from educational institutions for summertime apprenticeships; often the relationship continues the following year within the context of a research project. Each year, several engineering demonstration projects and doctoral theses are carried out in A-Insinöörit to develop operations. After graduation, a permanent job position is often offered to the engineer performing the research. New employees go through the company’s orientation programme.

Research projects are often related to the productisation of new design tools, the boosting of operational efficiency, Eurocodes, information modelling, energy, occupational safety, the commissioning of planning software, as well as environmental and life cycle technology. Research is usually carried out with our partner network’s various operators. Besides being pioneers in the adoption of workable and appropriate design and project management tools, we also co-operate with international software suppliers. The funding sources have also included public funding from TEKES and the TE-Centre.
